Comer Industries will present show its expanding line of planetary wheel and track drives and off-highway axles at ConExpo-Con/Agg. Comer is in booth S81630.
The company will introduce the largest of its planetary drives: the PGR-25004, a dual motor input drive with integral brakes which provides high input speeds and a maximum torque rating of 210 000 Nm.
Another planetary drive will be exhibited, the 300 000-Nm PGA-25005 travel drive with right-angle input and integral brake, which is used in very large track applications.
Three other sizes of track and wheel drives will be shown on the Comer Industries’ booth: the PGR-802, a preferred drive for small pavers and drill rigs, with 10 000 Nm torque capability; the PGR-4803, with a maximum torque of 48 000 Nm and suitable for larger road construction equipment, trenchers, and other tracked vehicles; and the PGR-22003, the newest member to the Comer Industries line up, with 220 000-Nm maximum torque rating and ratios up to 160: 1.
Two sizes of planetary slew drives will be exhibited: the PG-702 and the much larger PG-5003. These slew drives are utilized on rough terrain truck, and lattice boom cranes.
Comer Industries said its planetary drives are offered as track, wheel, and winch drives which are differentiated by features that suit them to the particular application.
With regards to axles, Comer Industries will exhibit the S-258 and S-328 units – available in rigid or steering versions – which target the 10- to 12-ton capacity telehandler market but are used on a variety of off-highway machines as for example trenchers, mobile conveyors, tow tractors, compactors, dumpers, mining personnel carriers, and agricultural machines.
Finally, Comer Industries announced that an even larger axle – the series 358 with 15 ton capacity and 6500 daNm torque – is planned for release in the course of 2017.
